Welcome to my site! I live in Burnley, UK, with my wife Victoria, our canine children, and our hens.
On this site I write notes and longer articles about learning to code, exploring, following Burnley FC around the country, and training and racing. I snap images along the way, that appear in my dedicated snaps section. I also record all of my training, run, ride, swim, climb, walk and weigh-in data.
Objectives for the remainder of the weekend:
Starting off the day working on my back injury with a little climbing at Onyx, and even more s+c work on the frame (and floor). Counter-intuitive I know.

What else to do on a long bank holiday weekend than play about with web design? I've implemented custom header and fonts, accented headers, widened view. Need to upgrade archives, and make that light theme Burnley acceptable!
Dark theme - Gold on Black
Light theme - Royal Blue on White
Back at Bower Fold where Oldham take on Rochdale Hornets in the Championship this afternoon.

There are estimated to be 204 deaths a year of people with childhood dementia. The figure for childhood cancer (0-14 years) is 260
Very sad story in the BBC. Though I would never have thought that childhood dementia mortality might be even in the same ballpark as that of childhood cancer.
I see that Kev is not entirely succeeding at dialling back the rate of development on Pureblog. Here's a couple of screenshots of the new admin stats page which is really neat.

Arriving back home after a return trip to the office in Stoke with 41% remaining is a new PB.
In my old leaf, i could not really complete the trip without charging at Stoke.

The children deep in conversation after Ruairidh the super fluffy water spaniel returned from the groomer half the size, and looking like a completely different dog.

75% of fans oppose VAR in Premier League, says FSA
90% disagreed that the introduction of the technology in the Premier League has improved the matchday experience, and...94% disagreed that VAR makes watching football on television more enjoyable.

One of several tries that broke up a miserable weekend in work, as I popped out for a couple of hours this afternoon to see Oldham beat Hunslet 44-0 at a wet and windy Bower Fold with Craig.

Was surprised to find microformats2 classes in Pagecord page source this morning, more suprised still to see they are based in Scotland. Not mentioned in features, I see they announced this addition in January.

Mr Leo wanted to get in on the daily dog action, so here he is hiding in the towel rack again this morning.

One of the quirk's of my Pure Blog switch is that I've split short activity logging posts off into a second site to clean my rss feed. Here I've reversed the favicon colors and styled the dashboards so I can tell which admin console I'm in!

I'm intrigued by the possibilities of TPV Career Mode. I had not realised this was a community feature and had been looking for this feature in the TPVirtual app itself.

Here's a quick photo of BayLee the favourite, out on his walk in the sunshine this morning. It feels like he is ageing too quickly at the moment, but he still loves to get out for a walk.

I'm really impressed with how far Biketerra has progressed in the year since I last rode on it, TPVirtual has really progressed too, but I think BT have done the better job of georendered terrain.

I need to decide whether to leave my training log on my main site and feed, or to move it into trackd.prry.uk which I've built for simple tracking items. Will mull that over on my ride. Any thoughts?
Here's a picture of Ruairidh, the fluffiest spaniel I've ever seen, sitting down like a very good boy on his walk this evening.
