Hull City 1 Burnley 1

Images from the MKM Stadium, as Burnley fought to peg Hull City back to a 1-1 draw.

On the back of the performance at Sheffield Wednesday prior, I had high hopes for this game. Though that started to go wrong on the journey across. Due to a large incident on the M62 we arrived at the MKM Stadium with only seconds to spare before kickoff.

Burnley dominated the opening minutes, and the noise in the away end was electric. Though as that dominance failed to produce a goal the performance on the pitch and in the stands became more nervy. On the stroke of half time Xavi Simons put the Tigers ahead.

Burnley were much improved in the second half, but again struggled to break down the defence in front of it. We deservedly equalised in the 77th minute, a thunderous header from Zian Flemming on the end of a Jaidon Anthony cross. We couldn’t edge ourselves in front though, the final stages notable for the debut of Agyei. He looked way off the pace though.
